It is so hard for me to think that February is half over. So far this month Korina is signed up for summer camp, I have dates for singing, Nadia had a "practice skate" at the rink, Makara and Mommy have been on antibiotics, and Jeff is getting ready for Honduras.
So Korina wanted to go to camp last year but for whatever reason that I don't remember she was not able to go. This year she is super excited to go and we just registered her and paid her deposit!
I received my first dates for the worship team. I am happy that I get to sing once in March and once in April. The commitment is each weekend you sing all 3 services, plus 2 practices. It is quite a commitment but it is so worth the extra time!
The girls and I went skating at the rink where Nadia's party will be in a few weeks. We went with Sabrina, Victoria, and Luke. We had a blast! Nadia called it her "practice skate". Tuesday night is $1 nite. $1 for admission and $1 for skate rental. I thought it would take us at least 45 minutes to trek up to Sunbury during rush hour but it only took 25 min so we had to sit and wait for about 20 min. It was worth it! By the end Nadia didn't want to leave even though it was bedtime. We cannot wait to go again. We may try to make it a habit for one Tuesday a month. I am so sore I don't think my body could handle more than that. It is great exercise though.
Little Makara has been so sick since Christmas break. She was croupy then and we home remedied her. She was better for a week and then the cough started again. After two weeks of no getting better I took her to doctor and she wound up on antibiotics. Well now they are gone and I think she is still sick. I'm going to try to get her into doc tomorrow. Her eye is so weepy and her little lymph nodes are swollen. Poor baby.
I was on antibiotics too and honestly I'm not feeling as well as I should either. I may try to get into see my doc next week. If I need more meds I want to get them in me now instead of waiting until later and chance having to reschedule my procedure yet again. As of right now it is set for March 11 - the weekend after Nadia's party - the weekend before my first scheduled singing commitment. I'm pretty stoked about the weekends surrounding it.
Last on the topics list for today is Jeff's trip to Honduras. He is getting super excited and is mostly packed already. He has all his meds he needs as well as gear and other things like sunblock and such. I am so happy for him! I can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories he will come back with!
